Kitchen cabinet refacing is a remodeling process by which you can update and improve your old out of date kitchen to a completely new presence with character and intelligent design you will enjoy in everyday life. This can be done in a short time, usually in just a few days, without the collateral damage which occurs with installing new cabinets. When installing new cabinets you may need to do additional work such as replacing floor, wall and ceiling repair. We use premiere products which are in most cases better quality than the original finish.
The refacing process starts by removing existing cabinet doors, drawer fronts, drawer boxes, drawer glides, old trim and any items not needed. In short the cabinets are stripped down to bare boxes. At this stage layout and design changes can be made. Then the cabinet boxes are prepared for the new veneer which is permanently applied to all exposed surfaces. Next new drawer glides , and drawer boxes are installed. New drawer fronts, new doors and hinges are next with new handles and/or knobs. Other features can be added such as lazy susan, roll out trays and tilt out drawer front. A valance and crown molding complete the refacing process giving you kitchen the impressive look of a more expensive remodel.
Our refacing process is a true veneer replacement, not peel and stick, or plywood overlay.
